Temple Bruer Organic Preservative Free Riverland Chardonnay 2021 - 12 Bottles

Winery Overview

Temple Bruer Wines, established over 50 years ago, is a family-owned winery committed to sustainable and organic winemaking practices. They are pioneers in producing preservative-free wines, blending integrity and innovation into every drop.

Vineyards & Vintage Conditions

The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from the Riverland region in South Australia, specifically from the Barmara vineyard, where the vines are 30 years old. The vineyard is certified Organic and Biodynamic, with mallee soils consisting of deep sand over lime and clay.

Winemaking Process

The grapes were harvested in mid-February at 11 Baume and a pH of 3.30. They were quickly crushed, pressed, and settled overnight before fermentation commenced. The wine fermented for three weeks at cool temperatures of 14°C, underwent malolactic fermentation, and had brief French oak contact before being cold and heat stabilized and bottled in mid-April 2021.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Pale straw

  • Aroma: Citrus notes of lemon peel and grapefruit, with hints of lime and floral overtones of violets and roses.

  • Palate: Crisp and dry acidity, with a full citrus fruit profile and a dry finish.

Food Pairing

Ideal with seafood dishes, grilled chicken, or fresh salads.
