Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
Grapes for the 2022 vintage were harvested from a selection of organically managed vineyards in South Australia. A mild spring followed by a warm, dry summer allowed for steady ripening, resulting in fruit of excellent flavour concentration and balanced natural acidity. Careful vineyard practices, including the use of natural composts and cover crops, helped maintain healthy soils and vibrant vine growth, ensuring the highest quality organic fruit.
Winemaking
Hand-selected fruit was gently crushed and fermented in small, temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermenters to retain freshness and varietal purity. Regular pump-overs during fermentation enhanced colour, flavour and fine tannin extraction. After fermentation, the wine was matured in seasoned French and American oak barrels for several months, adding subtle spice and texture while allowing the expressive Shiraz fruit to remain at the forefront. No synthetic additives were used, and the wine is vegan-friendly.
